Panomics is a life sciences tools provider that develops novel classes of reagents that help researchers involved in the life sciences and drug discovery better understand molecular and cellular events. On Nov. 11, 2008, Affymetrix Inc. (Nasdaq:AFFX) announced that it entered into a definitive agreement to acquire the company, saying that Panomics "offers a powerful suite of assay products for a wide variety of low to mid-plex genetic, protein and cellular analysis applications."(See acquisition announcement.)
